youth ministry

YOUTH GROUPS

THURSDAY 7PM – 8:30PM | AT THE CHAPEL
At Exeter Chapel, we believe that Jesus loves children! Our age-specific youth programs partner with parents to educate and equip children to become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. We’d love to have you join us and bring a friend!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) is quite possibly the best week of the summer for children grades K-6! Our workers organize and create environments conducive to children and relating to the curriculum theme. Peppered with catchy songs, fun crafts, yummy snacks, Bible stories and new friendships, the children learn each morning about the love Jesus has for them. This summer it’s planned for mid-July – watch for updates!

PIONEER CLUBS is a Christian club program sponsored by Exeter Chapel for girls in grades 3-8. This Christ-centered program helps our young ladies apply biblical principles to everyday situations. The slogan of Pioneer Clubs is “Christ in every aspect of life.” We give the children opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, have fun, and develop Christian values which influence every area of their lives.

Some of the weekly activities include: Bible Exploration, Bible memory, songfests, games (competition isn’t emphasized), award activities (crafts, skill building, service projects, etc.). The meetings vary weekly, and we also plan special activities that include the parents.

BOYS BRIGADE is a discipling ministry, dedicated to “building men” by raising up the next generation of Christian leaders. The purpose of this ministry is to develop leadership skills in boys (grades 3-8) through achievement-based lessons and games. Mature Christian leaders work with boys to hone their mental, physical and spiritual acuity, and encourage them to pass along what they have learned to the younger members. Boy’s Brigade envisions a transformed society through consistent Christian leadership.

PULSE is our high school group where we strive to create an environment for teens to develop a deeper, personal relationship with God by:
• Worshiping the Lord together
• Providing social opportunities to join with other like-minded teens
• Encouraged and supported to reach out to friends and classmates
• Partnering with parents to reinforce their primary training ministry to their children
• Preparing the youth for life-long involvement and service in the local church
• Developing the desire to be immersed in God’s Word and in Prayer
• Develop leadership qualities among peers
We occasionally have service outings and fun events at other times and locations, like going up to Berea Deep Freeze weekend.
