Why Counsel?
Ephesians 4:12 says that all believers need to be equipped “for the work of ministry” in order to build up the Body of Christ (the Church) to maturity. Our prayer is that through these opportunities you’ll be further equipped for “speaking the truth in love” (v.15) for that very purpose.

A one-day event sponsored by The Evangelical Ministers Fellowship (EMF) to introduce basic principles of biblical counseling to churches in our area and to provide further equipping for those Christians who have already received some training in biblical counseling.

Join our book discussion with the goal to become a more effective minister of God’s Word in your church and daily life.
Each month we pick a new biblical counseling book to read together.
Annual Spring Training
Join our “watch party” of Faith Lafayette’s Biblical Counseling Training Conference (BCTC). If you enjoyed the Fall Workshop and want more, this is for you. This takes place in three, ten hour weekends (Friday & Saturday).

Dr. Brent Aucoin joined the staff of Faith Church in Lafayette, IN in July of 1998. Brent is the President of Faith Bible Seminary, Chair of the Seminary’s M.Div. Program, Pastor of Seminary and Soul Care at Faith Church (Lafayette, IN); ACBC certified; instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries; and a retreat and conference speaker. He and his wife, Janet, have two adult children.

- Enjoy provided refreshments and lunch.
- Participate in conversations with local Pastors, Biblical Counselors and others interested in learning how to counsel using God’s Word.

Spring 2025 – 30 Hour Training Plan
Join with local believers to participate in your designated Virtual Training (Track 1, Track 2, or Track 3) over 3 weekends.
Track 1: Foundational Training
This track equips learners with the basic tools and knowledge necessary to minister the Word personally.

This track builds on the foundational training by discussing additional tools needed to counsel well.

Second, register with EMF to participate in-person with other local believers.
